The Lagoon 42 has layout options with 3 or 4 cabins. The aft cabins come furnished with island double beds and the forward cabins have side access beds. The aft cabins benefit from an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. Large windows in the cabins bring in exceptional natural lighting and provide guests with magnificent views.

With the mast having been moved further aft, this makes for an even smoother sailing experience. The new build of the 42 includes a larger fore triangle making for a greater choice of downwind sails, for easy maneuvering the boom was shortened, a re-centered weight of the catamaran has greatly reduced pitching, and a broader head of the mainsail takes advantage of less turbulent wind.
