LAGOON has gained an unequaled wide ranging experience in multihull design and construction through their involvement with racing.
This wealth of experience places the LAGOON 47 way out in front in the cruising catamaran field. Advanced technology and techniques including the use of kevlar/glasscloth for composite construction and computer aided design have been used by LAGOON in the building of the LAGOON 47 - the result is a fast but easily handled craft. Below decks the interior exudes and air of quality and comfort. The accommodation consists of a panoramic saloon, light and airy galley, four spacious cabins with separate washrooms. The LAGOON 47 represents a combination of modern state of the art methods with traditional style and elegance.

CONSTRUCTION
- Both hull and deck are of vacuum-bagged laminate construction using a foam core for the hull and balsawood core for the deck Three-directional-weave glasscloth, carbon reinforcement, hydroply impregnated with "polyvinylester" synolite resin. All bulkheads and other bonding are effected using two-directional glasscloths.
- Composite-construction rudder-blade on laminated rudder tube with self-aligning "jeanneau" bearing blocks.
- Osmosis-guard protective coating (Gel Shied)
- The whole of the C.A.D. designed structure is calculated by computer so as to the obtain the best weigh/strength ratio for the boat
