Created in 1984, LAGOON, builder of cruising catamarans was the direct extension of Jeanneau's racing division (Jeanneau Advanced Technologies).
Today, LAGOON belongs to the Custom Yacht division of the Beneteau Group (the world's largest recreational boatbuilder) and proposes an exclusive choice of multihulls with the major architectural contribution coming from the famous architects VPLP.
LAGOON has also been involved in a number of special projects such as the construction of the trimarans for the movie Waterworld.
Since the launching in 1987 success has led LAGOON to continue their ideas with the introduction of the LAGOON 380, the LAGOON 570, and the LAGOON POWER 43, a power catamaran designed by Xavier Faÿ and Philippe Subrero in 2000.. As for the LAGOON 67, it continues its international career as a luxury catamaran.
The cruising boat builder never stopped innovating with the launching of the Lagoon 440 in 2004. even at first glance you can see the difference: a flybridge with a upper helm station and a large bench seat . As all that the Lagoon, the Lagoon 440 is a sae, fast, comfortable and luxurious multihull. Encouraged by the success of this model, Lagoon develops their flybridge catamaran range with a 50’ model: the Lagoon 500.
Always seeking for innovation, Lagoon launches in 2006 the first catamaran with hybrid propulsion: the Lagoon 420.
LAGOON has also proven itself in the realm of custom monohulls and racing multihulls (Pierre Ier, Fleury Michon, etc.) whose overall list of victories remains unequaled by any other boatbuilder to this day.
With the strength and talent obtained from its diverse experience, LAGOON has at its disposal an unequaled technical know-how and mastery of composite construction, to which the many individual owners, racers, and charter customers can bear witness.
