The lagoon 420 : an example of regeneration catamaran

This catamaran has two 10KW electric motors each connected by straight shaft transmissions to a propeller. These motors are fed by two sets of batteries. The
regeneration principle enables to recharge its batteries while the boat is under sail.
When the batteries are 100% charged, the regeneration enables the boat to work on its electric motors during about two hours.
This new Lagoon 420 CS that has enjoyed a true success during the Boat Show of Paris in 2006 represents a modern and futuristic solution :
regeneration is booming in the automotive world.
